Associate Director, I FUND

 

PRIMARY POSITION FUNCTION/SUMMARY

The Associate Director, I FUND will focus on providing a first-class philanthropic experience to fans of Illinois Athletics by leveraging digital and in-person engagement to effectively build relationships. This position will also support ticket sales and renewal efforts for assigned prospects as well as provide annual fund operations support to help DIA meet annual revenue generation goals.


 


Duties and Responsibilities

Duties are listed in order of greatest importance. Other responsibilities may be assigned.

Frontline Fundraising and Sales

 Actively engage and build relationships with a portfolio of supporters, season ticket holders, and prospects

 Manage a hand-selected portfolio of approximately 600 current and lapsed donors and season ticket holders

 Lead sales process for assigned donors with regards to premium seating opportunities at Memorial Stadium and State Farm Center

 Leverage technology, including email, video conferencing software, and social media platforms to build rapport, steward and solicit donors in a fan-centric, targeted, high-velocity manner

 Execute monthly and quarterly touchpoint cadences (averaging 50+ outbound touchpoints per day) across portfolio to ensure consistent and relevant donor communication.

 Meet and exceed clearly defined metrics for donor and revenue retention, acquisition, and reactivation

 Effectively communicate philanthropic opportunities across the University of Illinois and Fighting Illini Athletics to drive conversations and solicitations

 Work home games, performing various donor relations and fan development duties, as assigned

 Provide excellent customer service to all Illinois Athletics donors, ticket buyers, and fans

Program Management

 Assist with the day-to-day operations of the I FUND and other commercial operations

 Provide leadership in one or more areas of essential donor relations programming (benefits fulfillment, donor parking, stewardship, recognition, processing)

 Aid in outreach and follow up for events and activities on behalf of the I FUND

 Work closely with members of the commercial operations team to implement initiatives that drive contributions and ticket sales

 Provide CRM support, helping maintain functional areas of data management, accounts, contacts, leads and opportunities

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

Required: Undergraduate degree, preferably in Sport Management or related field.

Experience

Required: Minimum of one year of marketing, fundraising, or ticket sales experience,

preferably in college or professional sports.

Preferred: Master’s degree in business administration, finance, sport administration

Experience

Preferred: Two or more years of experience in ticket sales or higher education

advancement, preferably in college athletics.
