Assist in the day-to-day operations and overall serve as the primary point of contact for all direct contact with the head coach. | | | | | | | | |

Other responsibilities may be assigned. | | | % TIME | • | Strategic Leadership – • Serve as a strategic liaison between coaching staff and athletics administration to support alignment of program operations, priorities, and organizational objectives. • Monitor, analyze, and help guide the overall program budget, including annual travel budget planning and resource allocation considerations. • Provide oversight and strategic guidance to ensure adherence to NCAA, university, campus, and departmental policies, procedures, and compliance expectations. | 40% | • | Coaching & Player Development – • Oversee the daily setup and operational readiness for practices and gameday activities. • Assist coaching staff with game planning, preparation, and strategic development. • Manage and analyze statistics during competitions to support in-game decision-making. • Assist the Head Coach in compiling, analyzing, and presenting data for competitive and strategic planning. • Formulate and organize performance and statistical data in a manner useful to strategic team improvement. • At the direction of the Head Coach, provide skill instruction to student-athletes and serve as a coach during varsity practices and competitions as needed. • Collaborate on team-building initiatives and team-specific functions to enhance culture and player development. • Coordinate official visits for recruits and their families/guests while ensuring NCAA compliance. • Create, implement, and cultivate recruiting and outreach plans with key recruiting constituents. | 15% | • | Travel & Event Operations - • Oversee the daily setup and operational readiness for practices and gameday activities. • Assist coaching staff with game planning, preparation, and strategic development. • Manage and analyze statistics during competitions to support in-game decision-making. • Assist the Head Coach in compiling, analyzing, and presenting data for competitive and strategic planning. • Formulate and organize performance and statistical data in a manner useful to strategic team improvement. • At the direction of the Head Coach, provide skill instruction to student-athletes and serve as a coach during varsity practices and competitions as needed. • Collaborate on team-building initiatives and team-specific functions to enhance culture and player development. • Coordinate official visits for recruits and their families/guests while ensuring NCAA compliance. • Create, implement, and cultivate recruiting and outreach plans with key recruiting constituents. | 15% | • | Operations & Financial Management – • Facilitate equipment and apparel orders and manage inventory with equipment staff. • Authorized to make P-card and T-card purchases on behalf of the assigned sport program. • Manage the team per diem card program for student-athletes, staff, and official visits, including coordination with Financial Operations and reporting lost or stolen cards. • Prepare requisitions and purchase order requests through iBuy and Banner systems, including vendor setup coordination. • Coordinate with the Business Office regarding special vendor payment arrangements. • Process expense reports for head and assistant coaches, including travel, recruiting, and miscellaneous reimbursements. | 10% | • | Communications, Branding & External Relations - • Manage branding strategy for Illinois Athletics and the Head Coach by developing and coordinating communication plans and schedules. • Serve as a strategic resource for communications, media relations, and donor relations. • Analyze the effectiveness of internal and external communications and implement enhancements as needed. • Create, send, and document correspondence on behalf of the Head Coach, including print and social media communications. • Design, coordinate, and organize alumni relations, community service, and outreach initiatives. • Coordinate the planning and execution of the annual women’s golf fundraiser and donor golf outing. | 10% | • | Administrative Operations - • Assist with the creation and manage the Time Management Plan through Teamworks. • Create and submit APEC forms each semester on behalf of the sport program. • With consultation of the head coach, Track and submit annual letter winner awards for the sport program. | 10% | | | | | |

Experience: Current or previous intercollegiate athletics employment experience required. | Specialty Factors: | | Preferred Qualifications: | Education: Master’s degree in same areas as required Experience: Experience with Division of Intercollegiate Athletics preferred. Experience with Jump Forward and/or Teamwork’s platforms preferred. | | | | |
