PRIMARY POSITION FUNCTION/SUMMARY

Oversee all ticketing for State Farm Center concerts and special events, maintain and administer daily ticket revenue reconciliations, assist in the day to day operations of the ticket office, and participate in the solicitation and stewardship of all I FUND donors and season ticket holders


 


Duties and Responsibilities

Duties are listed in order of greatest importance. Other responsibilities may be assigned.

Ticketing Revenue Generation –

 Collaborate closely with State Farm Center and external constituents on the implementation of concert ticketing; including pricing and arena scaling for a multitude of events

 Proactively support revenue-generating ticket initiatives, including pricing, sales campaigns, group sales opportunities, and operational execution of promotional programs to increase ticket sales and attendance.

 Monitor and track ticket sales trends to support forecasting and revenue-growth strategies.

 Engage and interact with existing and potential I FUND contributors and season ticket holders

 Cultivate and solicit ticket-related contributions and other gifts

 Collaborate with marketing and external relations to drive revenue-focused fan engagement strategies and customer retention programs.

Responsibilities –

 Serve as primary ticket office liaison for ticketed State Farm Center concerts and special events.

 Responsible for set-up of Paciolan system for assigned sports and events

 Oversee athletic ticketing for other various events, such as IHSA wrestling and IHSA basketball.

 Assist with game management at home events and other venues.

 Administer complimentary admissions at away games and post-season events when needed (compliance, coordination, and administration) for assigned sports.

 Maintain working knowledge of the NCAA and Big Ten guidelines regarding athletic ticketing.

 Responsible for ticket sales settlements for all State Farm Center events; including post-event reconciliation for external constituents

 Initiate and prepare the daily deposit of all ticket office revenues.

 Reconcile daily ticket sales to ensure placement of revenue into proper university accounts.

 Prepare weekly attendance reports for all sales and attendance figures for assigned sports/events.

 Assist Business Office with revenue reconciliation processes of assigned sports and events

 Assist DIA Compliance Office in the issuance, tracking and determining compliance of complimentary admissions.

Strategic Engagement: -

 Knowledge of the Ticket Office and departmental policy and procedures.

 Assist with staffing, including participating in the identification, interview, hiring, work assignment and evaluation of temporary or seasonal employees.

 Support supervision and training efforts of temporary or seasonal employees, including the resolution of customer service related initiatives

 Collaborate with internal & units regarding comprehensive athletics’ department initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a field related to the position.

 

Experience:

One year of professional business, financial, and/or managerial work experience.

Experience with ticketing software systems. Experience with contract requirements (TV, radio, non-conference allotments) for assigned sports.

Maintain knowledge of, and compliance with, specific NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and institution rules that relate to this position is required.

Knowledge of Paciolan computer system and use of spreadsheet and word processing software desired.
