PRIMARY POSITION FUNCTION/SUMMARY

Oversee all aspects of ticketing for Illinois Football, participate in the solicitation and stewardship of all I FUND donors and season ticket holders, and assist in the day to day operations of the ticket office.


 


Duties and Responsibilities

Duties are listed in order of greatest importance. Other responsibilities may be assigned.

Ticketing Revenue Generation

· Provides operational oversight for a primary revenue-generating sport within the department.

· Proactively support revenue-generating ticket initiatives, including pricing, sales campaigns, group sales opportunities, and operational execution of promotional programs to increase ticket sales and attendance.

· Monitor and track ticket sales trends to support forecasting and revenue-growth strategies.

· Collaborate with marketing and external relations to drive revenue-focused fan engagement strategies and customer retention programs.

· Engage and interact with existing and potential I FUND contributors and season ticket holders.

· Cultivate and solicit ticket-related contributions and other gifts.

Responsibilities

· Serve as primary ticket office contact for Illinois football.

· Responsible for the full set-up and execution of ticket operations in Paciolan related to football.

· Oversee tickets sales campaigns related to football season tickets and single game sales strategies

· Coordinate Gies Memorial Stadium premium seating ticket renewal campaigns and season ticket sales strategies with Illinois Premium Seating department

· Assist leadership with internal communications and strategies for 20 + Fighting Illini account managers

· Lead in the allocation of football season ticket locations for I FUND members and season ticket holders.

· Lead in the execution of ticket delivery for Illinois Football season ticket holders and single game purchasers.

· Collaborate with I FUND on processes to secure ticket-related gifts.

· Assist ticket operations and I FUND staff with the allocation of parking locations for I FUND contributors and season ticket holders.

· Responsible for the setup of ticket and parking scanning devices for all home games.

· Oversight of ticket office game management at all football home & away games, and all post-season events.

· Administer complimentary admissions at away games and post-season events when needed (compliance, coordination, and administration) for assigned sports.

· Maintain working knowledge of the NCAA and Big Ten guidelines regarding athletic ticketing.

· Responsible for ticket sales settlements for Illinois Football and other assigned sports; including post-event and post-season reconciliation with business office.

· Prepare weekly attendance reports for all sales and attendance figures for assigned sports/events.

· Administer revenue reconciliation processes with Business Office of assigned sports and events

· Assist DIA Compliance Office in the issuance, tracking and determining compliance of complimentary admissions.

Strategic Engagement:

 Knowledge of the Ticket Office and departmental policy and procedures.

 Assist with staffing, including participating in the identification, interview, hiring, work assignment and evaluation of temporary or seasonal employees.

 Support supervision and training efforts of temporary or seasonal employees, including the resolution of customer service related initiatives

 Collaborate with internal & units regarding comprehensive athletics’ department initiatives.

 Communicate on a regular basis with staff and Assistant Athletic Director for Ticketing.

 Instruct and answer questions for temporary or seasonal employees.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in athletics administration or related field required.

 

At least two year experience of ticket office operations or ticket sales, preferably in an athletics or events venue.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with ticketing software systems, specifically Paciolan or similar ticketing software.

Experience with contract requirements (TV, radio, non-conference allotments) for assigned sports.

 Maintain knowledge of, and compliance with, specific NCAA, Big Ten Conference, and institution rules that relate to this position is required.

 Knowledge of Paciolan computer system and use of spreadsheet and word processing software desired.

 Knowledge of contract requirements (TV, radio, non-conference allotments) for assigned sports preferred.
